“When Does an NFT Become a Security? With Our Long-Running & Comprehensive Experience in Capital Markets, Wazuzu Knows It When We See It”

-Brad Safalow,
Business Development Lead

NFTs are a new and exciting application of digital technology, a natively digital or digitally represented asset class, such as art, music, or collectibles. Intentionally or otherwise, NFTs can be structured to have characteristics that make them securities regulated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Unprepared NFT Issuers, promoters, and other participants in the NFT markets may unexpectedly find themselves subject to regulatory oversight, penalties, and/or other liabilities.

Wazuzu Services, a NFT development platform, enables artists, creators, media companies and intellectual property owners to amplify their brands, increase customer engagement, build affinity experiences, enhance monetization, and create utility around their asset digitization strategies, including NFT creation and consulting on a range of services from security token offerings (STO) to geolocation and metaverse management, to creative services such as video production and gamification.

Wazuzu works exclusively with tZERO ATS, a regulated alternative trading system operated by tZERO ATS, LLC, a FINRA member broker-dealer subsidiary of tZERO, a leader in blockchain innovation and liquidity for digital securities. Together, Wazuzu and tZERO help clients navigate the rapidly evolving transactional ecosystem around digital assets.
